Rebecca Hancock, Principal
Rebecca Hancock has been an educator since she graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2005. After earning her Bachelor’s in Education, Rebecca taught in a variety of grade levels from Kindergarten through 8th grade and held a variety of teacher leader roles as she earned a Master’s of Education from Northern Arizona University. These years were very formative in her growth as an educator and provided a solid foundation as she learned about instruction and leadership. She has been a principal since 2018 and is finishing her Doctorate of Education, which has allowed her to refine her leadership skills and understanding of schools as an organization. In 2021, she was honored to accept the position of principal at EAGLE College Preparatory Schools South Mountain, where is eager to partner with families, educators and scholars to ensure all EAGLE scholars soar.
Rebecca enjoys spending time with her husband and young son. She loves to cycle with her family, hike, and read.

Melinda Wallace, Dean of Instruction
Melinda Wallace, Dean of Instruction
I believe that all students can learn and succeed. Just as important is the development of their character and integrity of our future leaders. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.”
I have had the pleasure of working in education for over 30 years. I was a classroom teacher is grades 3-8 for 26 years. In addition, I have a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and a Reading Specialist endorsement. As the Dean of Instruction at EAGLE, I am committed to continually improving our instructional practices in order to meet every child’s academic, social and emotional needs, while preparing them for college and career pathways. My goal is to support EAGLE in making sure each child to meets the challenges of an uncertain future, be prepared for careers that currently do not exist, and become lifelong learners who demonstrate good character on a consistent basis.

As the Office Manager, it will be my pleasure to welcome you to the school and assist you with your family's needs. This is my second year with EAGLE, serving last year as the wellness coordinator. Prior to working with EAGLE, my husband and I were house parents at group homes in Pennsylvania and Texas. My real claim to fame is the eight years I worked at Walt Disney World. So don't be alarmed if you see me break out into song while I walk down the hall! I look forward meeting all our scholars and their families.
